Arizona State University has an extensive sports program, and one of the most popular for spectators is football. The A.S.U. Sun Devils play at Sun Devil Stadium, Frank Kush Field in Tempe, Arizona. The stadium seats just over 73,000 and has hosted Arizona State University football games since 1958.
ASU plays in the PAC-10, along with 9 other teams: USC, Cal, Oregon, UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State, Stanford, Arizona, and Washington. One of the favorite games for spectators is always the game against ASU's perennial rivals, the Arizona Wildcats who play at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
2008 represents ASU's 96th season of football. In 2007the finished with a 10-3 record, a share of the Pac-10 Championship and a berth in the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. Head coach Dennis Erickson, in his first season at ASU, was recognized as Pac-10 Coach of the Year.
